The Herbert List Estate is the privately held heritage of the German photographer Herbert List. The photographic estate was passed on in 1975 to Lists long time companion Max Georg Scheler, who passed away in 2003. He left this estate to the new executor Peer-Olaf Richter. The estate is the sole rights owner and the collection is based in Hamburg Germany since 1976. The goal of the estate is to raise awareness to the great body of work of this important avant-garde photographer, by curating exhibitions, publishing books and selling prints through the first and secondary market. Besides a body of fine vintage work a limited amount of posthumous prints are available for sale through our affiliated galleries.
